I'll admit it, this was a tough move. When I finally lay down long enough to get a night's sleep, I woke up with a flu that lasted a week. There are still boxes to unpack and remotes to find, but we wake up every morning with an unobstructed view of a calm and serene lake. I spent the weekend watching Season 3 of Weeds. It doesn't get any better than that.
Seriously. It really doesn't.
Some photos from this evening's walk.
:)
Just like moons and like suns,
With the certainty of tides,
Just like hopes springing high,
Still I'll rise.
Did you want to see me broken?
Bowed head and lowered eyes?
Shoulders falling down like teardrops.
Weakened by my soulful cries.
Does my haughtiness offend you?
Don't you take it awful hard'
Cause I laugh like I've got gold mines
Diggin' in my own back yard.
You may shoot me with your words,
You may cut me with your eyes,
You may kill me with your hatefulness,
But still, like air, I'll rise.

A) That's my favorite poem of all time. I knew there was a reason I like you so much.
B) Want a roomie? That place is gorgeous - I'm so glad you're feeling emotionally settled, even if your remotes are still missing.
